Setting and Achieving Sales Goals

Setting and Achieving Sales Goals does not have to be difficult.

To set good sales goals it is necessary to do a lot of soul searching. You have to make sure the goals are doable. By that I mean the goals have to be reasonable enough from the stand point of the resources, abilities and stamina you have available to use and rely on.

Resources that usually come to mind are things like your education, selling skills and work ethics. In addition to these you need the equipment that is necessary to enable you to sell what you sell in your particular sales profession. You may need things such as a new sales kit, brief case, computer or even a good wardrobe.

Therefore some of your goals may be to acquire the better vehicle, new suit or laptop necessary to increase your chances of reaching the goals you have set out to achieve.

With these things in mind it is then necessary to break your goals down into smaller increments that you can get a handle on. You do not want to simply set a goal by saying I will sell x amount of orders by this time next year. It will probably not happen. Instead break the goal down into smaller daily task such as I will sell x amount of goods per week every week by such and such date next year. This way if you get sick or something happens to take you out of the field for a few days you can adjust and get back on track.

You may find that what ever you set out to do just is not working. If that is the case it is not the end of the world, you just found away that for what ever reason does not work well for you. So by all means do not be afraid to set different goals or change the way you going to meet them even in midstream so to speak.

The mark of a good leader or salesman is being able to know when to quit and try something different and if does not work try something else until you succeed.

By following your good judgment you can come up with a winner. The important thing is to continually think that this is something that you can do and your subconscious mind will come up with a way for you to do it.

You need to do it this way as you will come near doing what it is you have set out to do. You also have to leave ample time to take care of the things that will come up and believe me they will. This way you will not self sabotage your efforts and will come nearer to getting what you set out to get done, actually done.

You can find lots of ways to meet and exceed your goals at http://thesellingfool.com// just take one or two of my ideas and expand on it and you can come up with a real winner in no time at all.
