Designing Your Own Future

When you set out to be a success you have to design your own future.
If you just work and see what happens you may find you are not getting any where in your career fast.

A sales career like any other career is something that you have to work on every day and build on your past accomplishments.

You will find the easiest and most productive way to do this is to keep a journal. Keeping a journal is not a difficult thing to do but it will put a lot of substance into your life.

The reasoning behind this is to see where you have been. By doing this proactively day in and day out you will enable you’re self to grow and get better every day.

For the most part this journal will be for your eyes only and will let you paint your own life picture each passing day.

You will find rather quickly that you will indeed accomplish much more as you get better at what you do.

You will also find new and unique ways of doing what you do so you will also be discovering more efficient ways of doing these things.

The best way to keep a journal is to get a small book you can carry in your hip or coat pocket. There is no rule that says you cannot use four or five books a year.

I found one that is sort of an organizer and it has a daily calendar and gives me enough room to put in small notes and a daily to do list.

I actually do a weekly to do list on the computer and then pick out the things I want to get done that day and add them to the journal and get them done.

Then at the end of the day and sometimes during the day I write a little bit about what all I have done that day and how great the day was for getting it all accomplished.

If having a great day and getting a lot of productive work done has generated some new ideas I put them down as well.

You should retype your notes into your computer every day or so. This will also generate even more new ideas for you to work on.

And low and behold in a few days the future is not as nearly bleak looking as it once was.

Before you go to bed at night look over your notes and plant a few seeds in your subconscious mind of what you are planning to accomplish.

When doing this, you will also find that even at night during your sleep you will come up with more and more related ideas that will help you with your progress.

Try to get in the habit of writing these ideas down first thing in the morning and this can and will become the most productive time to produce those money making ideas that will really put you on the literal road to riches.

Also record these ideas in your computer for possible usage during your success journey.

None of this is etched in stone in fact it is best if you create your own system because the whole secret to all of this is your taking credit for all that you have done.

A good example would be Henry Ford who started out in about the same mental frame of mind as most of the people that are reading this as well as my self.

Mr. Ford did great and his company did even greater and is still going strong long after he has left this world.

This all goes to show that it is not that important where you are right now mentaly or financialy it is just important that you begin.

Once you have got started the momentum will pick up. You will get sold on yourself and that is the secret to getting more and more done and developing pride of accomplishment.

This gives you more confidence and more mental fortitude to try new and better things and start getting into the habit of getting things done.

Your entire life may take an entirely different path to the future than you had your eyes set on.

However, the important thing is this. If you believe in your self, do not give up, and follow through you will accomplish not only what you have set out to do but more often than not through serendipity you will reach heights that you never dreamed existed.

This is why I tend to always say, be careful of what you wish for because you nearly always get it and believe me that is true.

Learning to win again and again is fun and a very worthwhile endeavor.

So start your journal and start dreaming on paper. Your subconscious mind will come up with all of the different ways to get it done.

At that point all you have to do is supply the action and follow through.

You just have to become a really persistent cuss and use your common sense as well as your daily journal to become the success you are destined to become.
